Prof.Dr.Prarthita Biswas

Prof. (Dr). Prarthita Biswas [Ph.D.(Education), M.A.& M.Phil.(History), B.Ed.,M.Ed, M.A.(Education & Psychology)] is a distinguished scholar, teacher educator and an author in the field of education. She has more than 18 years of experience in teaching, academic administration, research and consultancy projects. She is at present serving as Principal of one of the renowned College of west, Bengal, India after being engaged as Professor and Doctoral Studies Co Ordinator in the Dept. of Education in Swami Vivekananda University, Kolkata, WB, India. She is the also the President, East Zone of the Council for Teachers Professional Development (A National Registered Organization), India. Prof. Biswas has also held senior academic and administrative positions in some of the reputed institutions of higher education in West Bengal. She is a winner of several national and international awards. Some of them include Nelson Mandela International Pride Award 2023 and “Eminenza” – Best Author Award awarded by Walnut Publications, LLP,USA in 2023. She has published more than 150 papers in national and international levels, more than 25 authored and edited books, 05 Indian patents and 02 copyrights to her credit. She was listed among the top 100 Women achievers of the year award organized by Code Bharat, India. She was awarded with the prestigious South Asian Scholarship Grant from the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies for her research work on Women Education. She has successfully completed two important projects on Inclusivity and Sustainability with the Stockholm University, Sweden and University Utara alaysia, Malaysia. She is a NLP coach and a firm believer in lifelong learning process. She is regularly invited in national and international seminars, conferences, symposiums and webinars. She is the Editorial Board Member and reviewer of reputed journals in national and international levels. She is also the invited member of various reputed academic bodies of higher education as well as research domain. She was also the leader and facilitator of “Jagriti Yatra 2013”-A National Entrepreneurship Development Programme. Her research interests include Inclusive Education, lifelong learning, gender studies and history of education.
